The Mindy Project/ Mindy Kaling

I watched the Mindy Project Premiere last week on Fox and I absolutely loved it.  I love that a normal, cute, smart south asian woman is a lead on a primetime network show in the USA. The Sepias are mainstreaming...Woot!

Here is a preview of the show

Unless some drastic changes happen in the next few episodes, I will be DVRing this as a part of my fall line up. What about you? Will you be watching?

Mini Suhana: Sambar Bambi MasalaTee

via MasalaTee Boutique

My little man is becoming quite an animal lover and I love finding quirky tees to match is interests. I'm in love with MasalaTee Boutique's Sugar Cube line. Although most Desis and South Asians recognize their iconic bollywood silhouette on women's and men's tees, their kid line is quite adorable too. The tees are organic, the design is modern, unique , yet distinctly desi.

Check out the collection at the MasalaTee Boutique. Which one is your favorite?

Elemental : Messenger Bag from Pondicherry

I have followed Pondicherry's board on pinterest for quite a while and I was thrilled to see that the online shop is now open and has a fabulous collection of modern Indian apparel, jewelry and accessories. What caught my eye immediately was this limited edition messenger bag from Touchart by Ed De Wild. You can get the bag with an option of 4 -5 different classic elements in devnagri script. If I could choose, I would pick the Jal/Agni combination, being a fiery Leo myself, but the Aakash Vaayu would be a close second.

I can't wait to spend the next few days drooling over the gorgeous items over there.

Have you visited the shop yet? What is your favorite item?

Love Etsy : Royal Indian Elephant

via Etsy

Since my birthday last year, I have started a little collection of lion charms, pedants and other paraphanelia. I think it has a distinct Indian and South Asian flavor without being overly cliched - Elephant, peacock, etc. Not that I don't love those emblems, but its nice to be a little different.

I was thrilled to find this pendant on Etsy from what looks like a very talented designer. You can check Runa and Dan's Shop here
