In 2000's Yash Chopra movies were a little different, they diversified into action franchises and comedies but they still churned out a few romances ! YRF 2000- when the clothes were better, the hair less poufy , fewer trips to the Alps and the romance a little more subtle!
Tujh Mein Rab Dikhta Hai from Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi (2008) Shah Rukh Khan (Yup, still? Again?) and Anushka Sharma
Bol Na Halke Halke from Jhoom Barabar Jhoom ( 2007) Abhishek Bacchan and Preity Zinta! Desi Brits romancing in India! They changed it up!
Mere Haath Mein Tera Haath Ho from Fanaa (2006) Aamir Khan and Kajol! She looks stunning!
My Dil goes Mmmm from Salaam Namaste (2005) Saif Ali Khan and Preity Zinta. They are romancing in the middle of city? What? Where are the mountains? Also I love their house, I want that terrace/patio
Yeh Hum Kahaan Aa Gaye from Veer Zaara (2004) Shah Rukh Khan and Preity Zinta. Preity looks stunning in her desi avatar! Love her curls in this too. Classic YRF
Hum Tum from Hum Tum (2004). Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukherjee. Cute and Modern. The transition away from the 90s romance is very apparent.
Today I was thinking about my grandmum and wondering what she would like for Valentine's day this year! She loves mithai and it got me thinking that I might want to make some cute heart shaped Barfee for her.
I am in love with this simple Valentine's Day banner made by Rebecca Cooper from Simple as That. In fact, I'm planning on making this a permanent fixture on my headboard.
I came across these cute little votive holders while thumbing through my latest issue of Better Homes and Gardens. (Loving their new DIY articles by the way).
These would also be really cute as centerpieces for a spring wedding or just having them around during a nice long bath.
You can find instructions on the Better Homes and Garden website
Here in the U.S this sunday is almost a religious holiday! Its the Super Bowl! I'll be celebrating this "Holiday" with my husband and toddler and some good friends, drinking beer and eating some delicious food. I don't particularly care for either team this year,so I'm not really as invested in the game on sunday. Really looking forward to the commercials though.
So for weekend inspiration this weekend, I am choosing these awesome high tops by Nike as designed by Liberty of London. Perfect for a walk in the garden or to wear some nice skinny jeans while running errands. If I had these shoes, I'd wear them to go location scouting tomorrow.
How adorable are these bright red hearts made from cherry tomatoes! Anyone can make these for a cute valentine's day surprise. Learn how to make them here
Take the classic conversation hearts one step further and make them personal. It also doesn't hurt that they are made of marshmellow! Get the recipe and tutorial from A Farmgirl Dabbles
Instead of rose petals, why not shower your loved one with kisses. These are pre made but if you have the time and some colored tissue paper lying around the house, you can whip up a batch in no time. Especially if you use this paper punch from Amazon.
